My cat stays by my side at all times like a dog and if I go into a staring, seizure, state (complex partial)she will climb on me, smack me with her paw, and meow incesantly both to arouse me from the seizure and to alert my human companion. She was not trained to do this - she just does it on her own. She watches me at all times that my human companion is not in the room or if I have to go to the bathroom and even has a fit if I leave our apartment alone. We rescued her at about 2wks old from under a dumpster from a fire ant bed, abandoned, and now she is 4 yrs old and big and healthy. God bless you now and forever, Gail
